Membership process

The Indigenous Helpers Society Inc is made up of Indigenous Peoples who have demonstrated their commitment to helping themselves and others to achieve wellness.

We are a society comprised of individuals who have developed our helping abilities through various processes including continued education, mentorship, and on-the-job training. In addition, we recognize natural helpers who have used their life experiences to develop their abilities to help others and who are recognized as such by the Indigenous Community. You can read about some of the benefits of membership here.

The application process consists of sending us a complete application, a recent Criminal Record Check, and a recent Child Abuse Registry Check to indigenoushelperssociety@gmail.com. CRC and Child Abuse Registry checks must be recent within the last 3 months. We require a $25 application fee that is due when you submit your application to us by email. After we have received your complete membership application, our Membership Circle will review your application and contact you regarding their decision.
